18th June 2025
Strategically located next to Junction 10 of the M1 and New Airport Way, Junction, Luton covers 4.46 hectares and is set to become a dynamic hub for business, logistics, and retail
Glencar is pleased to announce the completion and handover of Unit 1 at Junction in Luton, a landmark logistics and industrial facility delivered on behalf of repeat client Wrenbridge.
This milestone marks a significant achievement in the overall Junction masterplan — a transformative scheme aimed at significantly boosting Luton’s industrial and logistics landscape.
The newly completed unit delivers 222,134 sq ft of premium logistics space alongside fully fitted Grade A office accommodation, tailored to meet the demands of today’s occupiers. With its 18-metre-high warehouse, extensive service yards, and attractively landscaped surroundings, the development has been carefully designed to offer outstanding connectivity, benefiting from its proximity to the M1 and key regional transport links.
The project was delivered in two phases, beginning with a complex package of civils and infrastructure works. This initial stage included extensive earthworks, strategic highway upgrades, and the installation of critical drainage systems, preparing the site for vertical construction.
Reaching this stage marks a significant milestone for the scheme, showcasing Glencar’s strength in delivering large-scale enabling works and infrastructure packages within high-profile, multi-phase industrial projects.
The wider Newlands Park development is expected to support over 2,500 new jobs and contribute around £160 million annually to the local economy, underlining its strategic importance for the local community and the broader region.
