Glencar Secures Major Industrial and Logistics Development at VGP Park, East Midlands

This represents Glencar’s first project with both VGP, a leading pan-European industrial real estate developer, and Newlands, who are acting as development managers.

This appointment strengthens Glencar’s leading position in the industrial and logistics construction sector and reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable developments across the UK.

Phase 1 of the project involves the construction of two industrial units: Unit 3, measuring 240,000 sq ft, and Unit 4, measuring 130,000 sq ft. Both units will include integrated office space. In addition to the vertical construction, the works will comprise full site-wide earthworks and the formation of plateaus to enable future development of Units 1 and 2 as part of a later phase. Significant infrastructure improvements will also be delivered, including Section 278 highway works to Netherfield Lane and Tamworth Road.

The development is targeting BREEAM Excellent certification and includes full external works, such as HGV and car parking, access roads, and landscaping.

Jonny Allen, Country Manager – UK at VGP, said the scheme will be delivered in two phases, with Phase 1 being completed in October 2026.
