The Glencar Foundation

Supporting communities. Creating lasting impact.

Our Purpose

At Glencar, giving back is part of our DNA. The Glencar Foundation (registered charity number 1078770) was established to channel the energy, creativity and commitment of our people into meaningful action—supporting charities that make a real difference.

By bringing our charitable efforts together, the Foundation provides structure, oversight and direction, ensuring every pound raised reaches the communities that need it most and delivers lasting impact.

Where We Make a Difference

The Glencar Foundation operates with a clear focus: supporting community charities, backing impactful initiatives overseas, and sponsoring youth sports teams.

Every two years, we select an anchor charity to receive dedicated support, alongside a network of smaller organisations delivering direct impact in the regions where we operate.

From improving local facilities and supporting vulnerable groups to empowering young people through sport, we prioritise initiatives that create measurable, positive change.

How We Deliver Impact

Funds raised across the business are collected through the Foundation and distributed to nominated charities, with oversight from appointed trustees to ensure transparency and accountability.

Our fundraising activities are diverse and driven by the passion of our people, from community events and organised campaigns to endurance challenges and team-led initiatives. Glencar supports these efforts by matching the first £1,000 raised per initiative each year, helping to maximise the impact of every contribution.

By uniting these efforts under one Foundation, we ensure that every act of giving is impactful, visible and meaningful.

In Action: StreetDoctors Partnership

We’re proud to partner with StreetDoctors, a national charity equipping young people with lifesaving first aid skills to help reduce violence and improve community safety.

Through the Glencar Foundation, we have funded 20 training sessions across the UK, delivering vital education in schools, youth organisations and community groups.

These sessions teach young people aged 11–25 how to respond in emergency situations—such as severe bleeding or unconsciousness, while building confidence, responsibility and awareness.

As the first construction company to partner with StreetDoctors, we are reinforcing our commitment to social value and long-term community impact.

With sessions taking place near our project sites, this partnership is already making a meaningful difference—and we’re excited to continue growing its reach.

In Action: Glencar Foundation Gala Dinner

The Glencar Foundation Gala Dinner brings together colleagues, partners and supporters for an evening dedicated to making a difference.

Our inaugural Gala Dinner in 2025 was a brilliant success, combining fantastic entertainment with impactful fundraising in support of the Foundation’s charitable initiatives.

From auctions and raffles to shared stories of impact, the evening showcased the collective effort behind the Foundation and the difference we can achieve together.

Our Impact

Since launching in 2023, the Glencar Foundation has supported a wide range of charitable initiatives.

In 2025 alone, we donated over £38,000 to charitable causes, raising funds through events such as the London Marathon, Tough Mudder, the Great Manchester Half Marathon and a variety of community-led initiatives.

These efforts have helped support charities addressing food poverty, youth homelessness and opportunities for disadvantaged groups—creating real, measurable impact in the communities we serve.

“The Glencar Foundation is the heart of Glencar’s charitable efforts, created to focus and channel the company’s fundraising initiatives directly into causes that make a tangible impact. More than just a corporate charity, the Foundation acts as a central hub, supporting, organising, and promoting the philanthropic activities of Glencar team members, ensuring their efforts have maximum effect.”
