Delivering critical digital infrastructure in the heart of London

The six-storey, 194,000 sq ft facility provides 20MW of IT capacity and plays a key role in supporting London’s growing demand for secure, high-density digital infrastructure. Delivered within a highly constrained urban environment, the project required tightly sequenced logistics, rigorous programme control and close coordination across multiple specialist trades.

Glencar’s scope included the design and build of full civils and structural works, alongside the delivery of complex, service-intensive MEP systems across all six floors, with a partial technical fit-out to support phased occupation.

Sustainable, cost-effective design solutions were integral to this complex data centre scheme, including a cooling-only mechanical system and fully coordinated infrastructure to enable future waste-heat recovery.

The project also integrates 11 Million Dots — a landmark public artwork by artist Rafael El Baz — incorporated into the façade and developed in collaboration with the local community and local authority. Visitors to London’s Park Royal can now experience one of Europe’s largest public artworks, transforming the data centre into a visible and meaningful part of the local environment.
