8th February 2023
As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we would like to introduce Natalia Andreeva who has been studying via an apprenticeship as a Level 4 Quantity Surveyor.

What does your role involve?
My job involves assisting the Estimators in preparation of the pricing element of a tender or cost plan; taking measurements and assisting in cost plan preparation; providing general administrative support, setting up projects in Conquest, sending enquiries out, chasing quotes, and inputting the data from the quotations into the Estimators’ software.
What do I Enjoy Most About My Apprenticeship:
I love the fact that I am learning every day. I am part of an amazing team and I get incredible support from every single one of them.
What Are My Future Goals Upon Completion of My Apprenticeship:
After completing the apprenticeship, I’d l like to work as an Estimator and continue my career progression.
What Skills Do I Need to Fulfil My Role and Apprenticeship:
Willingness to learn all aspects of construction. You must be methodical, analytical, and organised.
The ability to work under pressure and be willing to consistently learn and improve. It is important to be a good team player, but also being able to work independently.
What Made Me Want to Start an Apprenticeship:
I wanted to gain better knowledge and understanding of the construction processes and technology, develop new skills and to be able to progress in my new career.
What Was My Background Before Starting My Apprenticeship:
I joined the company 4 years ago as an Office Manager in our newly opened Midland’s office. A year ago, I moved to the Estimating Department as an Estimating Assistant.
