Glencar Shortlisted Among Britain’s Best
Glencar is proud to have been shortlisted for Outstanding Mid-Sized Business of the Year as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Glencar, one of the UK’s leading privately owned construction companies, has been named a finalist in the Outstanding Mid-Sized Business of the Year category at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2026. Following a rigorous judging process, the shortlist recognises Glencar alongside some of Britain’s highest-performing businesses. The category celebrates organisations that demonstrate sustained growth, commercial success, innovation, effective leadership and a commitment to their people, customers and wider communities.
Founded in 2016, Glencar has grown from a two-person start-up into a business employing more than 350 people, delivering over 250 projects across the UK and Ireland. Today, the company is recognised for delivering complex projects across the industrial and logistics, commercial, life sciences, data centre and specialist refurbishment sectors, supported by a secured order book approaching £500 million and a client base where more than 80% of work is generated through repeat business.
The shortlisting marks another milestone in Glencar’s tenth anniversary year and reflects a decade of sustained growth, disciplined investment and long-term customer relationships. As the business enters its second decade, it continues to strengthen its position across strategically important sectors including data centres, life sciences, industrial and logistics, and specialist refurbishment.
Winners will be announced at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards ceremony at Grosvenor House, London, on 10 November 2026, where more than 1,200 business leaders from across the UK will gather to celebrate the country’s most outstanding organisations
