Glencar Marks Progress on Minecraft-Themed Development at Chessington

Exciting to be delivering a major new Minecraft-themed land at Chessington World of Adventures on behalf of Merlin Entertainments.

Set to open in 2027, the scheme will bring one of the world’s most recognisable gaming brands to life – creating a fully immersive, experience-led destination.

Behind the scenes, it’s a complex build. Large-scale foundations to support both the buildings and ride elements, detailed structural works, and carefully coordinated theming all need to come together within a live park environment.

The project has recently reached another key milestone, with structural steelwork now underway and the development beginning to take shape above ground.

It’s exactly the kind of project that plays to Glencar’s strengths – technically demanding, highly coordinated, and something a bit different.
