Glencar Appointed to Deliver Next Phase of Indurent Park Newport in First Collaboration with Indurent.
7th January 2026
Glencar has been appointed as main contractor for the next phase of Indurent Park Newport, the largest new-build industrial and logistics development in Wales.
Glencar will design and build five new I&L units, with full external works including yards, parking, utilities, drainage, landscaping and ground improvements.
| The appointment brings together Glencar and Indurent, one of the UK’s leading owners, developers and operators of modern industrial and logistics space, uniting two established organisations with a shared focus on large-scale, sustainable industrial delivery.
The next phase forms part of the wider 100-acre Indurent Park Newport, a nationally significant development strategically positioned to connect South Wales with the Southwest of England. The scheme is designed to attract international occupiers, support job creation and reinforce Newport’s role as a major industrial and logistics hub for Wales and the wider UK. Under the appointment, Glencar will deliver the design and construction of five new industrial and logistics units (Units 11, 12, 14, 15 and 16), ranging in size from 44,071 sq. ft to 115,045 sq. ft. Works will also include service yards, car parking, all utilities connections, drainage, landscaping, earthworks and ground improvement, with Glencar acting as main contractor throughout the programme. Sustainability is central to the delivery of the scheme, with the buildings targeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC A+ ratings. The development will incorporate roofs designed to accommodate 100% PV coverage, EV charging infrastructure, high power capacity and flexible layouts suitable for a wide range of industrial, manufacturing and logistics operations. High-quality office, warehouse and amenity spaces will be delivered with a strong focus on energy efficiency, wellbeing and long-term operational performance. Glencar’s appointment builds on its extensive track record in delivering major industrial and logistics developments across the UK, working with leading developers and institutional investors on complex, programme-critical schemes. |
