At Glencar, we believe in building more than just structures—we’re committed to making a real difference in the communities where we live and work. That’s why we’re proud to announce our new partnership with StreetDoctors, a national charity that empowers young people with lifesaving first aid skills to help reduce violence and improve community safety.

Through the Glencar Foundation, we’ve funded 20 StreetDoctors training sessions across the UK, helping to equip young people in schools, social clubs, and local organisations with the knowledge and confidence to act in emergency situations. As part of StreetDoctors’ violence reduction programme, these sessions teach young people how to respond to medical emergencies—including what to do if someone is bleeding or unconscious—while also fostering a greater sense of responsibility and community empowerment.

We are proud to be the first construction company to partner with StreetDoctors, reinforcing our commitment to social value and community engagement. By supporting this initiative, we aim to create a lasting impact by helping young people develop crucial skills that could save lives and reduce the impact of street violence.

With sessions already scheduled in schools, youth organisations, and sports clubs near our project sites, including a boxing gym in Luton near our Newlands Park site, we’re excited to see the impact of this programme firsthand. Each 45-minute to one-hour session is designed to be engaging, interactive, and highly impactful for young people aged 11-25.

We look forward to growing this partnership and working alongside StreetDoctors to empower more young people across the UK with essential lifesaving skills.
