Topping out event celebrates construction milestone at Ealing Studios

We’re delighted to share some exciting footage from last week’s celebratory ‘topping out’ event that we hosted at the iconic Ealing Studios, where the project has officially reached full height!
This milestone was marked by the turning of a gold bolt, highlighting the redevelopment and expansion of the oldest film studio in the world.
As Ealing Studios celebrates its 120th year, it embarks on an ambitious expansion plan to future-proof this storied site for generations of creators to come!
Glencar is honoured to be appointed to undertake this transformative redevelopment alongside Pella Real Estate Services and Christopher Smith Associates.
The new development will add:
🏢 Over 50,000 sq ft of facilities
🎥 A 14,000 sq ft state-of-the-art purpose-built “Net Zero” Carbon Sound Stage
🌿 🏦 Designed with sustainability in mind, the structure will honour the Art Deco heritage of the 1930s Grade II listed stages while aiming to become the first Net Zero Carbon stage in the UK, built to BREEAM Outstanding standards.
